No, no, no, DON'T get your hopes up Buffy and Doctor Who fan's of Anthony Stewart Head, Anthony Stewart Head has not been cast as Peter Capaldi's successor, but your gonna love what your about to read no doubt nonetheless ! Nod

Today [Thursday 2nd March 2017] as it's coming up to the 20th Anniversary of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' next Friday [10th March 2017] in which Anthony famously played Sunnydale High School Librarian and Buffy's Watcher Rupert Giles, I decided to watch a couple of episodes about the character from Buffy Slayer Collection DVD called 'Giles' by watching the episodes  'The Dark Age' and 'A New Man', the latter of which Gile's famously became a Demon in series 4, and after watching the episodes, I was thinking to myself that I've always loved the idea of Anthony becoming the Doctor.

And now, on the same day, I find out on a program I don't really watch called 'Good Morning Britain', Anthony apppeared on that show this very morning, and he was asked 'would you play the Doctor in Doctor Who ?'. Anthony's reply to the quesiton -

"I don't know, no one's asked, but I wouldn't say no.Well, would anybody say no?"

To watch Anthony on the 'Good Morning Britain' series from this morning, click this link and the Video will play automatically www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/co…

Watching him say this online has got me very excited, and it's nice to know he would gladly accept if asked. For me personally, ever since Buffy began in 1997 and I watched Anthony play Gile's the very first series of Buffy, I've always loved the idea of him becoming the Doctor, in fact I remember saying to myself as a young boy during Buffy series 1 that "If Doctor Who ever comes back on TV, I want Anthony to be the new Doctor after Paul McGann" ! Nod

Sadly, it was Christopher Eccleston instead of Anthony who kick started the new series of Doctor Who back in 2005, but still, I would so love it if right now he does end up as Peter Capaldi's successor.

If memory serves me correctly, Anthony had auditioned to play the Doctor for the 1996 TV Movie, but off course the role went to Paul McGann.

Anthony has off course played a part in the new series of Doctor Who, as Mr Finch in the 10th Doctor episode 'School Reunion' in 2006, series 2. But even thou Anthony has indeed played a part in the series already, it should not stop him becoming the next Doctor. Both Colin Baker and Peter Capaldi are living proof of that. Colin played Commander Maxil, a fellow Time Lord opposite Peter Davison's Doctor in 'Arc of Infinity', while Peter played a character opposite David Tennant's Doctor in 'The Fires of Pompeii', so there's no excuse to say Anthony can not play the Doctor what so ever.

Oh, this has some real potential: Rupert Giles is Dr. Who; this has *real* potential, but the Doctor is pretty cuckoo in a lot of ways at that.

And that's according to the *owner* of Dr. Who who let that slip in a televised interview on Dr. Who that I observed where he said that Dr. Who is not even remotely *sane*...
