Description

In the year 2012, the Doctor, then in his 9th incarnation, and his new friend and traveling companion, Rose Tyler, landed the Tardis in a large underground structure, about half a mile underground, in Utah, North America, designed as a bunker in the event of a nuclear war, complete with steel bulkheads.

The reason for why they had landed the Tardis there, was because the Tardis was receiving a signal, echoing out from the place, but had no idea what . . or for that matter . . who from ! . . . .

It was from a Dalek. The Dalek was badly damaged, and had arrived on Earth decades earlier before the Doctor and Rose discovered it was the cause of the signal drawing them there.

The Dalek was from the final day of the Last Great and Final Time War. It was there at the fall of Gallifrey's second city, Arcadia. It had managed to get through the 400 Sky Trenches high above Arcadia which protected the people and children down below, which before the Time War, made Arcadia the safest place on Gallifrey anywhere on the planet.

Along with other Daleks, it landed in the streets of Arcadia, and began exterminating not just the Time Lord soldiers, but also . . the locals who lived there . . the men . . the women . . and the children too.

A long with some other Daleks, it elevated into the sky, and began taking out the Time Lord soldiers in charge of the gun batteries defending Arcadia . . then it happened . .

A massive explosion appeared to destroy Arcadia and the rest of the planet, and the Dalek suddenly found itself falling through time.

It appeared, above the Earth, in 1962, like a meteorite, because it's casing was burning up on entering the Earth's atmosphere.

It crashed in the Ascension Islands, and for three whole days before anyone could get near it because of the heat, it was heard screaming . . believed to have gone insane.

Once it's casing had cooled down, it was eventually recovered from where it had crashed.

Over time, it had become a collectors item for those interested in collecting extra-terrestrial artifacts, until one day it found itself being sold to the last man who would ever own it - Henry Van Statton.

It was the last of the Daleks . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . or so it thought.

All thou we know it was a survivor the Time War, we never did learn much about it's backstory, so I decided to make one up relating to events in 'The Day of the Doctor'.
