Doctor Who - Listen !!

Thought I'd have a bit of fun this morning editing up a nice picture of the new 12th Doctor sitting on the roof of his Tardis in space, telling us all to LISTEN !!.

Here's how I made it

By using this trailer www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwhWDn… for the episode itself, I started off with the top half where we see the Doctor sitting on the roof of the Tardis. The reason for why I did this is because the Doctor says "Listen !!" when the camera zooms in on his face in the trailer and in the actual episode where the footage from the trailer was also used in Saturday's episode.

So by pausing the video at the exact spot before the camera zooms in on his face, and I just print screened the image, then went to the computer program paint, pasted the print screened image onto the program, and then cut out the top section just above the 'Police Public Call Box' sign.

Next bit was the sign itself. This is a separate piece, like a horizontal banner, which I placed just below the image of the Doctor sitting on the roof.

I then went back to the very beginning of the video and paused at the moment the words 'Police Public Call Box' begins to appear. I then just printed screened and pasted again, and cut the image out, and used the bottom half of the 'Police Public Call Box' sign to join it with the banner like 'Police Public Call Box' sign that I did a moment earlier. Trouble with this bit was, the two halfs didn't originally join together, so I had to stretch the bottom image a bit to make the two parts fit. You might just notice the join if you look carefully at the words 'Police' 'Call' and 'Box'.

Lastly, instead of the Doctor's eyes closed, I decided to show them open when he says "Listen !!". I paused the video just after he says the word, and once again print screen the image and pasted it. I then cut around the Doctor's head carefully, shrunk it down to match the size of his head to how it appeared in the trailer / episode before the camera zooms onto his face, and then carefully placed his head over his head, made sure the head fitted nicely over his head, and that was it . . . job done !!
