Does the Tardis have a Holodeck like you see in the various Star Trek TV series ?.
She might have a holodeck inside herself !, after all, if she can have a Swimming Pool, then why can't she also have a holodeck of her own for the Doctor and anyone else to use when not out and about saving the universe again from evil ?.
This upload was inspired by a favorite episode of mine of Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek - The Next Generation called 'Relics' where Montgomery Scott [a.k.a. Scotty] from the original series of Star Trek asks a holodeck onboard the Enterprise-D to show him the bridge of the original Enterprise NCC-1701, which you can check out on this clip by clicking this [link]
In this upload, it's ment to be a holodeck inside the Tardis, and activating a holographic recreation of the 2nd console room from the 4th Doctors time. I did want to use a picture of the 1963 original console, but could not find a decent picture or any picture showing the original console from the front view when you step into the Tardis, so the picture of the 2nd console room Ive ended up with instead.
Maybe the Tardis will one day feature a holodeck in the series, you never know . . .. but you saw it here first !!!!!!!!!!
In the early 1990's there was a Doctor Who Magazine Special focusing on the Time Lords and in the comic strip called "Flashback" set entirely within the TARDIS, the Doctor uses a holodeck-type device to show his companion Bernice Summerfield a bit of Gallifrey's past.
And technically the TARDIS used holographic paintings to disguise an important section of the ship in the 1978 story "The Invasion of Time".
Oh right, apart from what you just said about 'The Invasion of Time' which I have seen on DVD, I never knew about what you just said about a Doctor Who Magazine Special cos I didn't really buy Doctor Who Magazine that much during the 90's, just on the rare occation, but once Doctor Who Magazine changed to the old 2005 Doctor Who logo with Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper on the cover, Ive been buying it ever since every month since the new series revival.
Thanks for telling me that thou, quite interesting
Cheers, the 50th Anniversary is gonna be a blast, I'm looking forward to Mark Gatiss' documentary drama 'An Adventure in Space and Time' that began filming on Sunday just gone which I talk about in my latest Journal and as my latest upload
All the behind-the-scenes photos make 'An Adventure...' look really promising and exciting and everything that Steven Moffat recently said about the 50th in this interview: [link] have my excitement levels turned up to 11 too! Roll on March 30th and Roll on November 23rd!
