In 2005's 'The Christmas Invasion', the 10th Doctor asked Rose Tyler "Am I . . Ginger ?", and Rose replied "No, your sort of . . . . Brown !".
The 10th Doctor curtainly was not happy, and declared that he had always wanted to be Ginger.
Come New Years Day 2010's 'The End of Time - Part 2', and one of the very first things the 11th Doctor says is "And still not Ginger", which caused a lot of hate towards Matt Smith, as many people thought that Matt's Doctor was trying to say something like "Yay, still not Ginger, I hate the bastards, wouldn't want to be one of the Ginger nuts !!", but thankfully, many fan's quickly came to the Doctor's rescue on the Internet by explaining that it was indeed a reference to the 10th Doctor's earlier question to Rose if he had Ginger hair or not.
But now that Peter Capaldi is the new Doctor, should he perhaps dye his hair Ginger ? so that Doctor Who finally has it's first ever Ginger haired Doctor ? !!.
I only ask, cos I've just been on the website 'Blogtor Who' talking about the upcoming new 12th Doctor figure being made by American Toy company 'Bif Bag Bow!', and the sites owner says 'The company are now awaiting further information - such as hair colour (will he be ginger perhaps?), facial hair (evil goatee perhaps?) and full costume - before approval from the BBC'.
If Peter Capaldi does dye his hair that colour, I think it would be a good thing to see in this ever changing world of the here and now of the 21st Century to see a Ginger haired Doctor, after all, we've had Vizlor Turlough, Donna Noble and Amy Pond who have no doubt represented the Gingers of the world in Doctor Who, so why not now with the Doctor ?.
Get's my vote
I've never had a friend with Ginger hair, but I would happily be friends with anyone who is Ginger, just as long as their not rude with their head stuck up their own arse, then that's cool with me
