Ahh Doctor Who, it's back, and it's a TIME FOR HEROES !.
The Pilot was actually not such a bad start to this brand new series of Doctor Who. The only real problem I had with it was it felt rather slow in parts that I had been wondering if the story was actually going anywhere.
Bill's introduction was great, and yes, they did include the 'Friend from the Future' clip from last April that introduced us to her, but it was only like a couple of moments from that, if they added in the whole scene you could have said out loud during the episode the entire scene word for word if you had watched it so many times over and over again.
Excellant that Sonic Screwdriver's from the past made an appearance, thou personally, I'm convinced they are all Character Option's toys we fan's own and not proper actual props made by the props department. Couldn't help but notice the War Doctor's one was missing from the collection thou . . and like so many of you who no doubt had whatever Sonic Screwdriver you had in your own hands during the episode last night, I too was holding my own Character Option's made copy of the latest Sonic Screwdriver, just so I could use it each time the Doctor used him in the episode which seemed like a couple of times at least . . and I shall continue to do use my Sonic each time the Doctor does during the rest of this new series and the 2017 Christmas Special
I don't think I fully understood the character Heather, or rather what it was that I assume killed her and took her form, or even who the male voice was we could hear from inside the puddle of what you think is ment to be water but wasn't. I didn't quite understand that.
One thing I guess a lot of us got wrong was thinking that the original title of the episode called 'A Star in Her Eye' was that Bill herself had a star of somekind in one of her own eyes, but it turned out to be Heather. This someone reminded me of the 10th Doctor being told once that "He will knock four times", your soupposed to think it was the Master who was gonna knock four times, but it turned out to be Donna's wonderful grandad Whilfred Mott . . I still hope the old Souldier islooking up at the sky every night on Donna's behalf, and thinking of the Doctor
It was nice to briefly see the Movellans, thou I felt bothered by the fact they screamed, which just didn't seem right since they are just Androids introduced originally in 1979's 'Destiny of the Daleks', and they never screamed once in that story. I actually re-watched 'Destiny' on DVD yesterday morning just because I knew they was going to appear in this first new episode of Series 10
I do wonder thou, what is the running theme of this year going to be ?. As long as it's far better then that stupid Hybrid nonsense of last series, then I'm happy. I'm going to assume the running theme of this series is something to do with the big metal doors underneath Bill's University with Gallifreyan text written on it in circular Gallifreyan . . but where, or what, is on the other side of those doors me wonders ? . . . . . . . . . .
Still, the coming soon trailer looked awesome . . and yes, he is back - THE MASTER !! - and is it me, or has a grown a bit of beard since we last saw him in 'The End of Time' ? . . . Hummmmm, yeahhhhh.
Anyways, that's the end of this review. I give this episode a well derserved 10/10, seeing as this is officially the 10th series in the shows revival since good old 2005. As recently mentioned, I won't be reviewing all the episodes of Series 10, just the first and last ones being the Pilot and the finale 2 parter, as in the past a lot of my reviews hardly appear to recieve comments, so that why I won't be reviewing the entire 10th Series just so you guys know.

Doctor Who One - The FINAL Journal
Hello dear friends, and here we are, you and me, for my final Journal.
We all knew this day would come, but come it finally has. DeviantArt sure has changed in many ways, and not for the better. So many good friends I've made on this site appear to have just vanished over time, some closing down their accounts, while others just keep their account active but never bother to use it. The site is always being bombarded by filthy uploads [do I really need to give an example displayed on this Journal ? . . no, thought not], and like many of you, I too have never once had an interest in DeviantArt Eclipse, which many of you have said in the past y
It's almost time . . . but not yet . . .

Happy Christmas to the DeviantArt Community
To the DeviantArt Community,
Wishing you all a very happy Christmas for this final time in the 2010's, and wishing you all a bright, happy, and safer future in the 2020's.
Consider this song my Christmas gift to you all who view this Journal, 'Christmas Lights', sung by the lovely miss Kylie Minogue.
Thank you all for the lovely comments throughout 2019, as well as favouriting my uploads and the Journal's, and thank you also to everyone who gave me Llama Badge's during this year too.
From Jason.

Doctor Who - In defence of Rona Munro
Hi guy's
It's probably unnessesary, but I feel like defending Rona Munro.
If you have absolutely no idea who Rona is, she is the lady who, sadly, many Doctor Who fan's apparently claimed KILLED Doctor Who in 1989.
Rona wrote 'Survival', the final story of Season 26 and classic Doctor Who as we know it. The name might sound a bit familiar with new series fan's, as she wrote the story 'The Eaters of Light' for Series 10 back in 2017.
As I understand it, and I think I may have read this originally one time in Doctor Who Magazine, Runo is often accused of being the person who killed off Doctor Who in 1989 with the story 'Survival', which yest

I very much enjoyed "The Pilot", and like you I appreciated the tub of sonic screwdrivers on the desk. I also enjoyed the photos of Susan and River that he had too. It was also nice to see the Movellans again (although I absolutely hate "Destiny of the Daleks"; worst Dalek story ever, in my opinion).
Looking forward to the rest of the series! John Simm certainly looked more Master-y with the beard didn't he.
I'm a little sad that we won't be seeing more of the Daleks this year (but at least that means I can have another year of saying that my Dalek was in the most recent Dalek episode! ).
Any idea if we will be seeing more of the brain things from the Christmas special. The end of that episode showed that they have now infiltrated UNIT. Wonder if we will get a follow-up.
